The Elite Ice Hockey League welcomes the appointment of Clifton Wrottesley as the new Chairman of Ice Hockey UK. Clifton succeeds Richard Grieveson who held the role for five years, and announced his decision to step down in December.
“On behalf of the Elite League, I would firstly like to thank Richard Grieveson for all of his hard work as Chair of Ice Hockey UK during the past five years,” said EIHL Chairman Tony Smith. "We wish him all the best with wherever his future takes him."
On the appointment of Clifton Wrottesley, Smith added: “Everyone involved with the EIHL would like to welcome Clifton to the role, and we wish him every success. For the good of ice hockey in the UK, it's important that everyone is pulling in the same direction, and we look forward to working with Clifton to improving as many different aspects of our sport as we can. It is vital that we have a strong relationship with our governing body, and we’re ready to get started and further that link with Clifton as soon as we can.“
