Dundee-born defenseman Kris Inglis has extended his contract with the Stars for another season.
The 22-year-old first joined the Stars in 2016 and has progressed to become an integral part of the team's blueline. He played 26 games in 2019/20 after being sidelines with injury for part of the season, but is already approaching the 200 appearance mark for the team.
“Sometimes when you have a year off, guys can lose motivation but Kris is the complete opposite," said Stars Head Coach Omar Pacha. "As a young player, taking a year off at such a young age can be hard on their development but I expect him to have a great summer and continue with his progression that he has had in the last few years – if he is able to start as he finished the previous season then we will be really happy with where he is at!
"Kris has been a vital part of our team over the last few years and he has really shown a lot of improvement. The potential is there, and I still think that Kris can become a top GB defenseman and he just has to continue getting better day by day.”
