Canadian forward Connor Sills has agreed to join the Dundee Stars for season 2021/22, a year after agreeing terms with the team for what became the cancelled 2020/21 season.

One of Omar Pacha's signings last summer, the Stars' Head Coach has got Sills under contract for the new season after trying to bring him to Dundee 12 months ago.

“Even last year, when I signed and had talked with Coach Omar, I was ecstatic to be coming to this city, to this team, to meet these fans and to embrace that whole culture," said Sills. "So, when I was talking with Omar a couple of months ago, he made it clear that he still believed in me as a player and had all the same interest as before and same ideas for what I can bring to the team, so I knew that I was not going to be going anywhere else.

“He was the one that believed in me last year and he showed that same interest again this year, even though I only played maybe half a season, so just that interest he showed in me as a person and a player goes a long way. So, I am very excited to get to Dundee and get things going, it has been a long time coming.”

Added Pacha: "Connor had the year off but he was really motivated to come back and he has trained extremely hard in the offseason.

"You watch the way he plays, and you become confident that he can add offence for us, even while he plays his natural game of being physical, tough and hard to play against.

“I felt we were missing that in the past, that gritty guy and someone who is strong in the corners, strong in front of the net and who has an offensive touch but I believe we have now found that in Connor."
