Defenseman John-Claude Brassard is Gui Doucet's latest addition to the 2021/22 Nottingham Panthers roster.
The 25-year-old American has spent the past three and a half seasons in the ECHL, preceded by four years with Union College in the NCAA. During his spell in the ECHL, Brassard played 133 games and returned 42 points. He notched 52 points in 135 matches while at university.
Brassard, known as "JC", stands at 5'11" and joins Mark Matheson, Taylor Doherty, Steve Lee and Josh Tetlow on the Panthers' blue line.
"We’re building a big picture here, a full package and J.C. fits the bill for what we wanted to add at this stage of the recruitment programme," said Doucet of his latest recruit. "He’s young, very motivated, with lots of potential and has been enjoying bigger and bigger roles on his teams in the East Coast Hockey League. It’s a perfect time for him to come to Europe."
