Canadian forward Colton Yellow Horn is the latest signing to be revealed by the Glasgow Clan ahead of season 2021/22.
The 34-year-old has spent eight of the past nine seasons in Europe with notable goal-scoring totals in nearly each one of them.
Initially signing for Fehérvár AV19 in the EBEL in 2013, Yellow Horn was a prolific scorer in the EBEL (now ICEHL). Over seven seasons he scored 107 goals in 257 games, totalling some 245 points. He spent three seasons in Znojmo and two in Graz after returning from the Asia League in the summer of 2015, where the Alberta Native notched 59 points in 47 games.
On being released from Graz early in the 2019/20 season, Yellow Horn went on to total 11+23 in 32 games for Nitra in Slovakia. Last season, he won Hungary's cross-border Erste Liga with Csíkszereda, ending the regular season on 16+29 in just 30 matches.
"I’m very happy to add Colton to our team. He’s a veteran guy, a real play producer and has had great success in Europe and in North America," said Head coach Malcolm Cameron.
"Colton is a real dynamic guy and has been a top line player for every team he’s played with. I got to see him a number of times last year in the Erste Liga in Romania and he was a winner there.
"He has an NHL shot, he’s really patient with the puck and can play the sort of passes most players can’t do at this sort of level. It’s great to have him on board."
