Carozza gives Panthers 'what they were missing'
New signing in Nottingham
Massimo Carozza is the latest new face to be signed by the Nottingham Panthers ahead of the 2021/22 season.
The 25-year-old has spent the past three years in Italy, the latter two playing in the Alps League for Pustertal. Over two seasons with the team, the forward put up 94 points in 80 regular season games. His first season in Europe was spent with HC Bolzano in the EBEL, which also included seven Champions Hockey League appearances.
"Massimo came with a lot of good references from players we know in Brett Perlini and Steve Lee," said Director of Hockey, Gui Doucet. "He's still young, wants to move up and become a better player, which is something Tim and I were very keen to have this season.
"He's the type of player were are missing at this point - he has a ton of speed and can produce offensively. In the Alps League he was the top scorer on a good team for two seasons. Massimo is a guy that's shown he can produce and is a complete player."
