The Manchester Storm have captured their second former Belfast Giant in as many weeks with the signing of Liam Morgan for 2021/22.

The 23-year-old played his first professional season with the Giants in 2019/20, scoring 11 goals and assisting on 16 others in 39 games for 27 regular-season points. He also put up 2+4 in the Cup, and 1+6 in six Champions Hockey League appearances.

"I feel like we have got ourselves a serious hockey player in 'Morgs'. He comes to us somewhat under the radar," began Head Coach Ryan Finnerty.

"This signing reminds me of when we brought in Frankie (Melton) into the Shelter, as Morgs has speed, great hands and is a natural goal scorer. We know this league is all about speed these days and having someone as hungry as Liam will only benefit the competition we are trying to create in our line-up.

"I have been in regular contact with him over the summer and he has been working his tail off, it is a great opportunity for him to produce big, big numbers over here."
