20-year-old defenseman Reece Cochrane will be wearing Glasgow Clan purple in 2021/22.
The young Scot came through the junior system in Fife, eventually making more than 60 appearances for the Flyers, before heading into the NIHL for 2019/20 for more ice team. Icing with the Sheffield Steeldogs, Cochrane scored three goals and picked up 13 assists in 42 regular-season matches.
He has represented Great Britain at both U18 and U20 level.
"It’s been a long 18 months without any hockey, but can’t wait to get playing and being around a team again," said Cochrane. "It sort of feels like a lost year, but it’s been replaced by the excitement that we’re almost back to normality and into a routine.
"I’m still young and I hope I’ve got a long career ahead, and this move to Glasgow could set me up and progress me further. Having been at Fife, it’ll be different going there as an opposition player. I watched all the games when I was younger and have been on the bench for games with the Clan.
"It’s always a good game between them and it’s one of the games I’m looking forward to. I hope we get what we deserve and win, but we’ll need to see what happens."
