Defenseman Kyle Locke will make his professional debut with the Guildford Flames in season 2021/22.
The 25-year-old Canadian has spent the last four seasons at the University of Ontario Institute of Tech and played alongside another Flames' recruit Alex Yuill. Over 94 games in USports, Locke scored six goals and notched 24 assists.
"Kyle is another guy coming here to get his pro start, and you can tell when you speak to him how passionate he is to get on the ice and try and help the team," said Head Coach Paul Dixon. "He is a very solid body who plays hard and can play physically, and he pays great attention to his defensive responsibilities."
“We had already signed Alex at the stage we were considering Kyle, and Alex could not say enough good things to convince us that Kyle was the right guy for the spot.
"It is not that long now until Kyle will be coming across to us, and we can’t wait to meet up with him in person and get him set up for contributing to our success this season."
