Time on ice leaders through opening weekend

Who were the iron men leading their teams in ice time over opening weekend? Let's take a look!

Drydn Dow on Dundee led the league with a mammoth 33 minutes and 44 seconds of average ice time across his side's two opening games, around 26 shifts per game! He clocked up over 40 minutes on the ice during their home opener against Belfast. 

Jamal Watson of the Guildford Flames is their leader over their opening four games so far, averaging 28:49 per game and putting him second overall in the Premier Sports Elite League.

Completing the top three is Fife's Jonas Emmerdahl, who was out on the ice for an average of 28:24 during opening weekend, an average of 30 shifts per game.

Round out the top five we have Dallas Ehrhardt (Manchester) and Sam Ruopp (Belfast). The Storm captain averaged 27:35 per game through opening weekend, while the new Giants signing was on the ice an average of 27:14 per game.

Matt Register led the Devils last weekend with an average ice time of 23:54, while Coventry's Nathaneal Halbert is their team lead at 23:44. Clocking up just 20:30 as a per game average his Sheffield's opening two games was Evan Mosey, a team-high, while Mark Matheson was the highest on-ice player for Nottingham in their one game with 20 minutes and 11 seconds of game action.
