Tonight: Stars hoping for better luck second time around in Nottingham

The Dundee Stars travel to Nottingham hoping for a better result than last time they faced the Panthers at the Motorpoint Arena.

Back in late September, the Stars were unlucky to lose by the odd goal in three. They now head south off the back of a weekend that saw them shut out Guildford 7-0, but then be on the reverse of a 5-0 scoreline 24 hours later against Fife.

That win against the Flames was Omar Pacha's side's first in league competition, though they had already secured their place in the next round of the cup.

Nottingham are the closest challengers to Sheffield at the top of the table, sitting four points behind but with two games in hand. The Panthers have quietly got about this business so far this season and have picked up 67% of the points on offer through six league games.

The issue facing the Panthers currently is injuries. Massimo Carroza, Kevin Domingue and Steve Lee are all out on injured reserve, although they have been able to recall Morgan Clake-Pizzo after his 21-day stint out.

Tickets for this game can be purchased here, while the webcast will be online here.
