Cup Semi-Finalists agree overtime change
Teams extend overtime duration to match playoffs
The four teams competing in this week's Premier Sports Challenge Cup Semi-Finals have agreed to amend the overtime rules, if the extra period is needed, this Wednesday.
"Our casebook for the season set overtime in the Challenge Cup Semi-Finals at five minutes, sudden-death overtime played of 3-on-3, but this was based on a two-leg series," explained Head of Hockey Operations, Mike Hicks.
"In light of the Semi-Finals now being one-off, knock-out games, the four teams involved have agreed that overtime - if required - will be played sudden-death for 10 minutes, 3-on-3. This brings it into line with the rules for the Playoff Semi-Finals which are also single knock-out games."
Tickets
Tickets for both Semi-Finals were priced at a flat rate of £10 (excluding booking fees) with no concessions.
