Will Kerlin got his first Nottingham Panthers win as his side scored four third-period goals to beat Coventry Blaze 6-4 at the Skydome.
The returning Massimo Carozza put the Panthers ahead at 4:51, but the period was to end tied thanks to Evan Bloodoff's leveller just shy of the 12-minute mark.
Matt Lane had the visitors back ahead 2:33 into period two, but less than a minute later Ryan Penny had tied things again. Bloodoff hit his second of the night at 33:04 before Janne Laakkonenen scored at 39:33 to put the hosts 4-2 ahead.
The Panthers' fightback started with Matthew Myers scoring on 49 minutes exactly, followed by Sean Richards tying things 71 seconds later.
Lane converted on a big rebound from a Robbie Baillargeon shot that CJ Motte couldn't hold to put the Panthers back ahead at 52:49, before he then completed his hat-trick on the empty net with five seconds to play.
