Storm and Panthers begin cup games

Manchester Storm and Nottingham Panthers begin their 2023 Premier Sports Challenge Cup campaigns tonight at the Storm Shelter. 

The two sides contested league games last weekend, with Storm picking up an overtime point while the Panthers ended with a win ad loss from opening weekend.

Both sides are under new coaches this season. Matt Ginn was with the Storm for several seasons as their starting goalie and is still searching for his first competitive win as Head Coach. Gary Graham, now behind the bench with the Panthers, saw his team beat Guildford in overtime in his first game in Europe before seeing them go down in Coventry 24 hours later.

Storm will continue in the cup tomorrow against Sheffield, while the Panthers will be out for revenge at home to Coventry.
