Sheffield Steelers made light work of a short-benched Dundee Stars on Sunday evening with a 7-1 road win.
The game was goalless after 20 minutes at the Dundee Ice Arena, but things sprang into life in period two. Daniel Ciampini opened the scoring just 52 seconds in, but Dundee were level through Ryan Verrier just 30 seconds later. Martin Látal put the Steelers back ahead at 25:17 with some quick hands after the puck broke to him straight off an offensive zone faceoff.
The Steelers took complete control in period three. Brett Neumann scored at 41:12 and 48:49 to put the visitors 4-1 ahead, followed eight seconds later by Tomáš Pitule. Scott Allen and Sebastien Piché both netted inside the final ten minutes to round off an excellent away victory for the Steelers.
