Sheffield Steelers condemned Glasgow Clan to their fifth straight defeat with a shutout road victory at Braehead Arena.
Brett Neumann was denied opening the scoring inside the first five minutes by an excellent breakaway save from Zach Driscoll as the Steelers started brightly. They took the lead 4:02 into period two when Brandon Whistle's shot from a tight angle somehow beat Driscoll to find the net.
Scott Allen tipped Neumann's shot past Driscoll just shy of the 30-minute mark to put the visitors up by two.
Matt Greenfield made a smart save to keep the Steelers two ahead as Clan pushed for a way back into the game late on, but with Driscoll pulled Jonathan Phillips found the empty et from his own zone to wrap up the Steelers' win with 11 seconds left.
