Cardiff Devils snapped a two-game losing streak and inflicted Glasgow Clan's fifth straight defeat with a 6-3 victory at Ice Arena Wales.

The 3,033 crowd in the Welsh capital didn't have to wait long for the scoring to start - just 2:28 on the clock when Justin Crandall tucked home the rebound from Ryan Penny's shot. Clan hit straight back through a Gary Haden close-range tap-in after Ben Bowns had made several saves with Clan on the powerplay at 2:53.

That was, however, as good as the opening period got for the Clan who found themselves 3-1 down after 20 minutes after goals from Marcus Crawford at 7:19 and Brodie Reid 4:06 before the first buzzer.

34 seconds into period two, Sanford wristed home from the point on a play where Clan failed to clear their zone ad turned the puck over to the Devils. Ty Taylor entered the net after that goal, but 57 seconds later Joey Marti beat him to put the Devils 5-1 up. Jake Coughler made it six with 71 seconds left in the middle period.

Stephen Dixon scored against his former team to bring the score back to 6-2, before Craig Peacock scored Clan's third of the night with 8:18 remaining from a pass in front.
