The Elite League was saddened to hear of the passing of Andre Payette.

The Canadian played in the EIHL from 2004 until 2009 firstly as a grand slam champion with Coventry Blaze, before spending four seasons with Newcastle Vipers where he also picked up a playoff championship.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.
