Guildford Flames went top of the Premier Sports Elite League thanks to a comeback win over Fife Flyers, defeating the Scottish side 5-3 for the second time inside 24 hours.
Sam Marklund's inch-perfect pass for Brett Ferguson to deflect past Shane Owen opened the scoring with 10:57 played at the Spectrum, however the Flyers were level 2:23 from the end of the opening period through Bari McKenzie's slapshot on a loose puck.
Czech forward Jan Kloz pounced on a deflection in front of Eamon McAdam to beautifully deke the Flames' netminder and put the Flyers ahead at 33:15, but they would trail before the break. Marklund tipped Robert Lachowicz's shot at 39:28 to draw the Flames level, before Ryan Tait's shot beat Shane Owen high just 17 seconds later.
On the fresh ice, Shawn Cameron beat McAdam after good work from Brayden Sherbinin just 18 seconds into period three to make it 3-3. The home side were back ahead when a falling Morgan Clarke-Pizzo buried a rebound from Ben O'Connor's shot at 46:56, while Johan Eriksson hit the empty net with 13 seconds remaining to round off the Flames' win.
