Fife Flyers earned their first league win of the 2022/23 season with a 3-1 victory over Nottingham Panthers at the Motorpoint Arena.

Mikael Johansson turned the puck over in the offensive zone to feed Christian Hausinger for the Flyers' opener with 6:31 played, although the teams were level at the first intermission thanks to Kelly Summers' equaliser at 15:06. The visitors had a goal ruled out for a high stick before a terrible play from JC Brassard in his own zone led to Jannne Kivilahti winning the puck and setting up former Panther Zach Phillips to score at 30:56.

Inside the final four minutes, Shawn Cameron started and finished a counter-attacking more, with an assist from Janne Laakkonen, to round off the visitors' win.
