Wednesday: Two games with very different meanings

Wednesday night sees two games in the Premier Sports Elite League, both of which have very different things on the line.
In Glasgow, Clan welcome the Panthers in a meeting of two teams who have not made the start to the season that they would have hoped for. Malcolm Cameron's Glasgow team have still yet to win a game in 2022/23, now sitting on an unwanted record of just one point (in a shootout loss) from 12 competitive matches. Last time out, they surrendered a two-goal lead to Guildford before going down 4-2. Nottingham meanwhile had back-to-back cup wins over Manchester last weekend, but have a return of just four points from seven games in the league. They were beaten in Dundee on their last trip to Scotland on Friday.

Down across the border in Sheffield, the Steelers host Dundee in a meeting of two teams looking to extend winning streaks. Sheffield haven't lost in regulation since 12 September, with wins in all bar two of those 12 games since, and have four straight victories on the bounce. Dundee ended a seven-game losing streak with two wins last weekend. The Stars haven't lost on their last two visits to Sheffield, the latter of which was the 1-0 Quarter-Final win before eliminating the Steelers in last season's Playoffs.
