Week 8 in the 2022/23 Premier Sports Elite League begins tonight, Wednesday, with three midweek games.
Belfast Giants and Dundee Stars meet for the first time in the league tonight at the SSE Arena. The teams contested a pair of cup games in which the Giants came out on top. The Stars picked up an excellent road win in Sheffield a week ago before suffering road losses in Manchester and Guildford. Belfast were beaten by the Flames during their road trip weekend, but came out of Cardiff with a 4-2 win on Friday night.

The Flames went four points clear at the top of the table last weekend with home wins over Belfast and Dundee, and at 86% have the league's best points percentage by some distance. The Devils, for their part, are second overall on points percentage on 78% and could end the night second overall with a win.

Since then, Clan earned an overtime point in Coventry after being shut out at home to Cardiff; Panthers were beaten by rivals Sheffield at home in the cup.
