Glasgow Clan and Dundee Stars begin play the first of this weekend's two back-to-back games on Friday evening. The teams meet tonight at Braehead Arena before doing it all again in Dundee less than 24 hours later.
This will be the first league meeting between the two teams this season. In the Viaplay Challenge Cup, the Stars won 4-3 at home and 3-1 on the road to sweep the series. Dundee are, in fact, unbeaten in four straight games against Glasgow with Clan's last victory over the Stars coming on 12 March 2022.
The home side go into this game on a bit of a roll, having put together their first four-point weekend of the season last time out. Dundee were beaten in Coventry last week live on Viaplay, but then returned home to beat Fife. Both sides have won just two of their last five games, and find themselves tenth and eighth respectively.
Despite his team's poor start to the season. Clan goalie John Muse has the fourth-best save percentage in the league (92.43%), and that despite having a 3-10 record and his team giving up some 39.2 shots per game - the highest league average. In the Stars' net, Anton Svensson stops an average of 88.82% of shots with the Stars giving up an average of 36 per game. Staying on averages, these teams are the league's average lowest scorers per game: Clan at 1.94 goals/game, and the Stars getting 2.17/game.
