Friday: Storm and Panthers looking for home wins

Manchester Storm and Nottingham Panthers play host to Coventry Blaze and Fife Flyers respectively, both looking for home wins after defeats in their last games on their own ice.
The Storm ended a six-game winless run with a victory in Nottingham last Sunday, but at the Storm Shelter have not Manchester have not had a league victory since beating Dundee on 22 October, a five-game spell. That victory over the Panthers lifted Storm off the foot of the Viaplay Elite League table, and with four games in hand of the teams immediately above them they'll need to start picking up home points if they're to make up the three-point gap to a playoff place. While Coventry were beaten at home by Belfast last weekend, the Blaze are still equal second on points and well inside the league's top five.

Nottingham Panthers go in search of their first win of the season over Fife tonight. The Flyers have won both meetings in 2022/23 - one home and one away - in their previous meetings this campaign. At home, the Panthers are without a win in two games; while on the road, the Flyers have two wins from their last three games. Corey Neilson is also looking for his first win since returning to the Panthers as Head Coach after a shootout defeat in Sheffield and Sunday's loss to Manchester.
