Sheffield Steelers' road win in Dundee on Sunday night gave them their second successive four-point weekend in Scotland in a fortnight, and keeps Aaron Fox's team unbeaten north of the border this season.
The visitors took the lead in fortunate circumstances when Brett Neumann's shot deflected past anton Svensson off the lefg of a Stars defenseman with 8:21 played. In period two, and exactly 13 minutes after the opening goal, Martin Látal doubled the Steelers' advantage.
Danny Kristo's follow up to a Brandon Whistle shot snuck through Svensson to make it 3-1 just shy of the 30-minute mark, before Látal added the Steelers' fourth at 35:33.
Ben Sokay shot past Matt Greenfield for a powerplay goal at 37:07 to put the Stars on the board, and then Ellijah Barriga brought the score back to 2-4 at 45:33 the home side were back with a chance to get something from the game. Two wasted powerplays, however, were punished when Kristo scored his second of the night on a nice Steelers counter-attack to round the game off at 56:49.
