We keep on rolling with live Viaplay Elite League action in 2023 with another pair of games on 2 January, bringing to a close a mammoth stretch of 20 games in eight days over the holiday period.
Today's action starts at 4pm in Dundee where the Stars welcome Glasgow Clan to the Dundee Ice Arena. The sides met on New Year's Eve where both scored late to see the game decided in overtime, with the bonus point going the way of the Stars through Ben Sokay. Dundee have stayed in the playoff places with two wins from three over the festive period, and this afternoon have the chance to increase the gap on Fife to three points. Clan are four points off the top eight, and the gap will only get winder unless they win tonight.

Coventry Blaze are back on home ice after a pair of road defeats saw them slide to six points off the top four. Things started well for the Blaze with a point in a home OT defeat to Cardiff on Boxing day, but road losses to the Devils and then in Nottingham - where they threw away a 4-1 lead - have seen them lose touch with the league's top teams. Blaze have lost six straight in all competitions, but have beaten the Panthers in two fo the sides' three meetings so far this season.
