Cardiff Devils host Sheffield Steelers at what will be a sold-out Ice Arena Wales this Thursday evening as 3rd face 1st in the Viaplay Elite League.

The Devils were six games unbeaten until losing in Guildford last time out. That run helped them claw their way back into the league title hunt, with Brodie Dupont's team now sitting only four points off the lead with 25 games to go. Cardiff haven't lost on their own ice for four games since the cup defeat to Sheffield, and in league play are unbeaten in six stretching back to 26 November.

Leaders Sheffield took advantage of two Guildford Flames slip-ups by winning all four of their festive fixtures to go into first in the standings. The Steelers have won 11 in a row in all competitions and have yet to lose a league game on the road in regulation this season.

While the Devils have a pair of wins in Sheffield this season, they've not beaten the Steelers in Wales since December 2021, and not in regulation since March 2020.
