Glasgow Clan welcome Coventry Blaze to Braehead Arena for our live Viaplay fixture this Thursday evening.

The clash sees the league's last-placed team take on its fifth-placed. Clan, who had a terrible start to the season, have recovered to now only be three points shy of a playoff place. They've lost their last two games, although have picked up three points out of four at home to Coventry in the league this season. They were beaten 4-1 at the Skydome last weekend.

Coventry are sandwiched in the middle of the pack in the Viaplay Elite League, finding themselves six points off the top four and 11 points above sixth place. The Blaze are on a two-game winning streak after Sunday's win over Glasgow, and are looking to make it five wins out of six against the Clan this season as well as end a two-game road losing run.

Clan added defensemen Niklas Tikkinen and Jeff Solow to their squad earlier this week, although either or both will only be available to play subject to ITC clearance. 

At 25.23%, the Blaze have the league's best powerplay by some margin, while Clan's at 19.59% is good for seventh overall. Coventry edge the penalty killing stats 79.38% to 75.22% respectively, however both teams average under 10 minutes of penalties per game. Despite a 6-16 win-loss record, Clan netminder John Muse has the league's best save percentage at 91.58%
