Regulation win secures IIHF Continental Cup for Devils

A regulation win is all that separates Cardiff Devils and the guarantee of becoming only the second-ever Elite League team to win the IIHF Continental Cup on Sunday afternoon.

Results elsewhere in the group mean that the Devils know a win in 60 minutes against HK Nitra will see them win the title after the Slovaks beat Angers in a shootout on Saturday evening. Both the Devils and Nitra have beaten Asiago, while Cardiff lost on penalty shots to Nitra. Should this game go past 60 minutes, a two-point win for the Devils would then leave them relying on results in the evening's game going their way - Nitra will win the tournament with a win of any sort.
