Cardiff Devils and Belfast clash at Ice Arena Wales on Friday night with both teams hoping to end the night third in the Viaplay Elite League.
The Giants currently occupy that place in the standings, but have played a game more than the Devils and have just a one-point advantage. If the Giants win tonight, they'll go a point behind Sheffield in second; while the Devils are hoping to move into third and use their game in hand to cut the gap on the Steelers down to two points.
It's a big weekend for the Devils who will then face leaders Guildford on Saturday. Brodie Dupont's team come back into league action, after last weekend's IIHF Continental Cup FInal, with only one loss in nine domestic fixtures. Belfast have not lost a league fixture in regulation since a 4-2 defeat in Cardiff on 10 December.
This is the final regular-season meeting between the teams in Wales this season - both teams have a 4-2 win each from their previous meetings.
