Tuesday: Devils eying second against in-form Clan

Action in the Viaplay Elite League returns after the international break with Glasgow Clan hosting Cardiff Devils at Braehead Arena on Tuesday night.

Clan have won six of their last eight games in league action, including a 3-2 victory over the Devils in January where they tied the game late and then won it in overtime, their first win over the Devils since the back end of last season. Cardiff head up to Scotland after a disappointing weekend prior to the break saw them pick up just one point out of four on offer, and concede 11 goals over two games.

The hosts currently sit in the last playoff place, but have played more games than all of the teams around them - in some cases up to four more. A win would send them into seventh, while a loss would put them under more pressure going into their final 11 games of the season.

Cardiff could end the night second with a win and a favour from Nottingham in the day's other game. A loss would leave them three points behind top spot in the league having played two games more.
