Panthers add forward Lahtinen

Nottingham Panthers added forward Niko Lahtinen on Sunday afternoon ahead of the IIHF Transfer Deadline later this week.

The 26-year-old Finn heads to Nottingham after spending the past two seasons in the Alph Hockey League. He has totalled over 150 points in the Finnish second tier with stints with LeKi, RoKi and Koovee.

"I heard a lot of positive things about the Panthers and the organisation," said Lahtinen. "There's a lot of hockey still to play this season and when I heard they were interested I jumped right on it. It's a good league and a good chance to prove myself at a higher level."

Teams have until 22:59 (23:59 CET) on 15 February to make international transfers.
