The important games just keep coming in the Viaplay Elite League as we enter the final weeks of the season, but two of tonight's could have huge implications for the league title race.
Leaders Belfast Giants head to fourth-placed Sheffield Steelers for the final time this season. The teams split a series in Sheffield in 2022 while the Giants won both home games earlier in 2023, and will only face each other once more after tonight. The Steelers head to Guildford on Sunday in what may turn out to be a pivotal weekend for them, while Belfast will travel to Manchester after this game. A loss for the Steelers here may well end their hopes of the league title, but a win could open up a four-way battle and put them in a great position in it.

Down in Wales, Cardiff Devils host Coventry Blaze after both teams played midweek. The Blaze are the most dangerous team in the league right now having beaten the rest of the top four at least once in the last three weeks, including three victories on the road in that spell. Cardiff missed out on going second with their loss to Manchester on Thursday night. A win here sets them up nicely for next weekend's double-header in Belfast.
