Nottingham Panthers ended their Scottish double header with a win a one-goal road win in Dundee over the Stars on Sunday night.
After some good Panthers pressure in the opening stages, the visitors found themselves a goal down of their own doing - a turnover breaking out of their own zone saw the Panthers give up the puck, allowing Phillipe Sanche to set up Elijah Barriga in front for the game's opening goal at 2:48.
The Panthers were level thanks to a late goal in period two. While Barriga sat a high-sticking minor, Adam Brady was set up in the slot by Matt Myers for a powerplay goal 1:29 before the buzzer.
After some excellent saves from Preece in the final period, the Panthers were the side that got a late winner. Dundee had not long killed off a Too Many Men penalty, but it was a Kelly Summers shot from the blue line that went all the way through past Preece to win it for the Panthers with 2:38 to play.
