Tuesday: Panthers and Blaze meet in Nottingham

Midweek action in the Viaplay Elite League this week starts tonight with the visit of in-form Coventry Blaze to face Nottingham Panthers.
Coventry are fast becoming the team no one would want to play in the playoffs. In the last three weeks, they've beaten all of the top four teams including four road victories in those six fixtures. The Blaze have an outside shot at finishing fourth, but would realistically need to win almost all of their remaining seven fixtures to have any chance of making up the four-point gap on Sheffield.
Nottingham came back from a weekend in Scotland with one win from two, but they did manage to move back to sixth overall. The Panthers can finish no higher but have eight games remaining to make sure they don't slip any lower. Coley Neilson's side are .500 over their last ten games.
The Blaze have won three of the four meetings between the teams this season.
