McKenzie joins Panthers on two-way deal

After impressing in the 2023 Playoff Finals Weekend Bronze medal game, young forward Zaine McKenzie has been rewarded with a two-way contract with Nottingham Panthers for 2023/24.

The 19-year-old trained with the Panthers last season and got his first point with an assist on Nottingham's opening goal in their defeat to Sheffield. 

In the NIHL, McKenzie has iced with Milton Keynes and Bees IHC over the past two seasons. He will spend next season on a two-way deal with the Panthers and Telford Tigers.

"I enjoyed my time training with the Panthers last season and really cherished it. It has made me want to push even harder and push to the next level," said McKenzie.

"Any opportunity that comes up I will grab it with both hands, give my all and try and do my thing."
