Glasgow Clan confirmed the signing of forward Philippe Sanche on Wednesday evening, taking him away from rivals Dundee after two seasons with the Stars.
The 28-year-old returned 127 points from his 116 games with the Tayside club, helping the Stars to the Playoff Finals Weekend in his first season with the team. He was the eighth-highest points scorer in the 2022/23 season despite Dundee finishing last overall.
"I’m absolutely delighted to be signing with the Glasgow Clan and a team I have enjoyed many battles with them so I’m looking forward to being part of them" Sanche said.
"The future is an exciting one there and I’m excited to get to work with coach Morgan, who I know has big plans.
"The Purple Army have always brought plenty of energy whenever I played against the Clan so hearing the noise they bring is another thing to get excited about. I can’t wait to return to Scotland and get started."
Head Coach Jason Morgan added: "I’m very excited to add Philippe Sanche to the team, after coming off two very good seasons in Dundee. Last year, he led the way in points with the Stars, and he’s a very intelligent offensive player. He’ll boost our powerplay, has a great shot and a quick release.
"Philippe also plays with a feisty edge, he’ll be expected to bring leadership, and we welcome him to the Clan hockey family."
