Clan add former Star Combs

Glasgow Clan's latest addition to their 2023/24 roster is a player well known in the Elite League, and especially in Scotland.

Forward Charlie Combs heads to Braehead Arena after a year in Denmark, prior to which he put up 78 points in 65 games for a Dundee Stars team that reached the 2022 Playoff Finals Weekend.

The 26-year-old scored 23 goals and assisted on 23 others for SønderjsykE in last season's Metal Ligaen campaign.

"I’m really looking forward to coming back to Scotland and getting things going," Combs said. "Playing in Glasgow two years ago was always fun where he fans were always great and I look forward to being on the right side of them this year.

"Plus I get to play with my buddy, Philippe Sanche, 'the wee man' as I call him and we’ve kept in touch since we played together in Dundee.

"We wanted to play alongside each other so I can’t wait to do that again when we get together later in the year. It’s going to be a great year."
