Canadian forward Brendan Harms is Dundee Stars' latest signing ahead of the 2023/24 season.

A 28-year-old centreman, Canadian Harms scored eight goals and collected 10 assists in 30 games last season for Angers in the French top-flight. Prior to that, he had 33, 36, and 23-point seasons in Lillehammer (Norway), SønderjyskE and Rødovre (both Denmark) respectively.

Having spent four seasons at Bemidji State University, he then spent two seasons in the ECHL.

"I watched Harms when he was at Greenville in the ECHL, when I was in Orlando, they were in our division so I got to see him quite often and his coaches always bragged about what he brought to the table when I coached against him in Denmark and last year in France," began Stars Head Coach Marc LeFebvre.

"He has always been a player that has intrigued me and I am glad we have him now, because he gives us a lot of versatility upfront, he can play centre, on the wing and in all situations.

"He is going to bring a lot of sandpaper and grit to our line-up, he gets in other players faces and brings a lot of skill with him as well, so he adds a lot of the things we are looking for."

LeFebvre continued: “We had to be patient on this one, obviously Brendan has been on my list since day one and I circled back to his agent every few weeks to see where he was at.

“Things just came together in the last 48 hours, so like with every player we have been patient with, we are approaching things in that manner to make sure we get the right players.”
