Dundee Stars' thirteenth signing of the off-season was confirmed as forward Tommy Parrottino on Tuesday afternoon.
The 25-year-old American comes in from the Iowa Heartlanders of the ECHL. In what was his first professional season, Parrottino scored 23 goals and notched 16 assists in 66 games.
Prior to turning pro, Parrottino spent four seasons at Michigan Tech, ending his NCAA career with 66 points in 124 games.
"Tommy is a good young forward, who brings a lot of skill and a lot of skating ability to our line-up. He had 23 goals as a rookie in the ECHL last year and I do not care who you are, that is a great season for a rookie," said Head Coach Marc LeFebvre. "Because he had such a good year as a rookie last season, most guys will stay over in North America and try to play in the American Hockey League or get a two-way contract, but he wanted to pursue something in Europe and we were able to get a deal done.
"We know he can put the puck in the net and we hope he can do that for us because we want to push the pace of the game and he brings a lot of speed with him as well."
