Defenseman Myles McGurty was confirmed by Nottingham Panthers as the final piece of their blue line line-up for the 2023/24 season on Thursday evening.
The 29-year-old American has spent the past four seasons in the ECHL, clocking up some 206 appearances while logging 59 points. Last season, he scored two goals and notched 22 assists over 63 games for Worcester Railers. This will be McGurty's second spell in Europe after a five-game stint in Hungary in 2018.
Jonathan Paredes, Head Coach of The Nottingham Panthers, said: "Myles is the prototypical two-way defenseman. He moves very well and is extremely smart defensively. We felt for the last defenseman we wanted someone solid that can move the puck really well and is extremely strong defensively .
"Most importantly, he's a defenseman that is reliable on the ice. He will fit in well on our roster and we're excited to have him in Nottingham."
