Cardiff Devils played their second week of pre-season games this weekend with two home games against French opposition in the Gothiques d'Amiens.
The Ligue Magnus outfit finished seventh the their regular season last year, and exited the playoffs at the Quarter-Final stage for the second successive season. They're coached by Mario Richer, who has previously worked at teams in the EBEL (now ICEHL) and DEL2, and is in his second stint as Gothiques Head Coach.
Les Gothiques have played two pre-season games to date, beating French rivals Cergy-Pontoise (the former team of new Panthers Head Coach Jonathan Paredes) 4-3, before losing in Bietigheim last weekend 3-2 to the DEL2-based Steelers. Cardiff won both of their exhibition matches against Belfast a week ago, with a shootout and overtime win respectively across the two fixtures.
