Cardiff Devils continued their unbeaten start to pre-season, but had to do it the hard way with an overtime victory over Amiens, coming from three down in the process.
Sunday afternoon's encounter was a very different affair to the 8-2 thrashing the Devils gave their French opponents on Saturday, ending with the first period goalless.
Goals less than five minutes apart from Zakari Lavigne and Tomas Simonsen, both on the powerplay, put Les Gothiques two ahead, while captain Danick Bouchard made it 3-0 2:50 before the second intermission.
Tyler Busch got the Devils back into things 2:54 into period three, with Ryan Barrow tipping Marcus Crawford's shot home at 47:29 to make it a one-goal game. Barrow then levelled with his, and the Devils', second powerplay goal of the night with 2:06 to play - another tip off another Crawford shot from the point.
Crawford hit the game-winner on the powerplay in overtime, the visitors having killed off a short 5-on-3 disadvantage, but not able to see the second penalty out.
