Coventry Blaze scored four straight goals over the final two periods to come from one down and beat Manchester 4-1 at the Skydome in the Storm's first pre-season game of the season.
Cam Critchlow's shot at 6:06 was heavily re-directed in front of Taran Kozun's net to give Storm the 1-0 lead early on, the deflection coming off David Clements' stick. The Blaze tied the game at 27:37 with a Clements shot from the point that deflected off a Storm defenseman past Evan Wenniger, and under ten minutes later Ian McNulty gave the hosts the lead at 36:18.
9:05 into the final period, Alessio Luciani jammed a puck past Wenniger to give the hosts a two-goal cushion, with Josh Burnside coming in unmarked at the back post to make it 4-1 with 6:11 to play.
16-year-old Connor Lee logged 10:43 of ice time in his first game with the Storm, while Blaze handed a pre-season debut to Finley Howells (two-way, Telford Tigers NIHL) who played 8:43 in the game.
