Wednesday: Flames host leaders Storm

It's the first midweek gameday of the 2023/24 season tonight with leaders Manchester Storm heading south to face Guildford Flames.

Storm are the early-season league leaders with five points out of a possible six to start. They have one of the league's hottest penalty kills at 91.67%, while their powerplay is striking 22.22% of times so far. Manchester picked up three points from a home-and-home series with Dundee last weekend.

The Flames are in need of some early season cheer, having lost three of four games to start the season. Last weekend they got their first win of the season with a cup victory over Coventry Blaze, but a home loss in the league to Nottingham in a shootout left them with just one point from three league fixtures to date.

Faceoff is at 7.30pm.
