It's perhaps a little early to be discussing contenders for the 2023/24 Elite League title, but at least three teams will head into tonight's fixtures thinking they need to come away with a win if they want to be involved in that championship race for March.
In Coventry, the Blaze take on a Sheffield Steelers side that was unbeaten through their opening three games until a home defeat to Cardiff a week ago. Coventry meanwhile picked up a shootout victory in Glasgow on Saturday to put them at a .500 start through three league fixtures. These teams met in Sheffield on opening weekend where the game was decided in overtime in the Steelers' favour.

Cardiff Devils welcome Belfast Giants to the Vindico Arena in the day's later start at 6pm in a re-run of last season's playoff final. The teams met in pre-season where the Devils won both games, but they now face a Giants team that has not lost in five straight league and cup fixtures to start the EIHL season. Cardiff were beaten in Nottingham on Saturday, but have won six of their last seven home fixtures against Belfast.
