Wednesday: Steelers face Storm with bumper crowd

Sheffield Steelers host Manchester Storm on Wednesday night in front of what is set to be a huge midweek crowd at the Utilita Arena.

Over 8,500 tickets had been sold by gamday morning. While this is a Challenge Cup fixture, it pits the current league leaders visiting the team directly below them. In Group C of the cup, the Steelers have played just one game and won it, while the Storm have a .500 record from two matches.

Manchester go into the game looking to break a five-year streak: the Storm have not won in Sheffield since a penalty shot victory in September 2018.
