Wednesday: Leaders Sheffield head into Scotland

League leaders Sheffield Steelers head north of the border for the first time this season as they visit Glasgow Clan on Wednesday night.

It's the only Elite League midweek fixture in Week 5, and it pits a Clan side looking for their first league win against a Steelers team at the top of the pile with four wins from five games played so far. 

Clan have had some eventful past few home games. Against Coventry they came back from 4-1 down to eventually lose 6-5 in a shootout, while they went down 6-7 last weekend against Nottingham Panthers having come from behind five times in regulation. Jason Morgan's team have yet to win a league fixture this season, with their only victory having come in their opening Cup fixture against Fife.

The Steelers went top of the league table on Sunday with a shutout win over Dundee. Aaron Fox's team have won their last four games straight, scoring 20 goals and conceding just six in the process. They were also unbeaten at Braehead Arena last season, winning all three games in 60 minutes.
