Cardiff Devils won their third game on the bounce with a two-goal victory over Manchester Storm at a sold-out Vindico Arena.
The only goal of the opening period came just past the 14-minute mark. Back from suspension, Brandon Alderson got on the end of an inch-perfect Tyler Busch pass to beat Evan Weninger in close.
Captain Cameron Critchlow levelled the game midway through period two, 1-on-0 with Ben Bowns after a good pass from Mitchell Martan. However, the Devils led going into the break through Jamie Arniel on a rebound with 11 seconds left in a period where Riley Brandt and Loren Ulett also dropped the gloves.
108 seconds into period three, Busch finished blocker side on Weninger after Waller found him on a 3-on-2 rush to put the Devils into a two-goal lead they wouldn't give up. Storm pulled their goalie late to search for a way back into the game, but it was to be the Devils' night.
