The Stars trail the Devils by one place and one point, but have played two more games than their Welsh opponents. For Cardiff, they could end the night joint-top of the Elite League, though will have played one more game than current leaders Sheffield Steelers.
The Devils have won their last four straight league games, and Head Coach Pete Russell suggested on Sunday that they were "quietly" going about this business this season. Their last visit to Scotland saw them shut out Glasgow Clan 7-0.
Dundee could have gone top on Saturday night but saw their five-game win streak come to an end in Coventry. Marc LeFebvre's team, after a poor start in the Challenge Cup, have lost just two fixtures across the whole of November.
